Dimensional Drawings of Apple Products
So that companies can use them to make accessories like cases and bands, Apple maintains a collection of downloadable dimensional drawings and tech specifications for many of their products, including the iPhone, AirPods, Watch, and iPad. They are beautiful.
I love their corner & edge measurements…you can see how fiddly Apple is with their curves. Curiously, the only Mac listed is the Macbook Neo. I guess that’s the only one that needs accessorizing?
Also, I presume if you’ve got a 3D printer, you could use these to make your own very precise accessories?

I spent years on the team in Cupertino that made marketing images of software using Photoshop. Before iOS 7 we recreated app chiclets using roundrects: circles & lines aligned at a single point of tangency. Then Jony Ive banished skeuomorphism and introduced us to squircles and their curvature continuity where there is no single point of transition from flat to curve. The hardware marketing team had already begun to use CGI with shapes taken directly from Ive's Industrial Design's CAD specs, similar to what you see here. Human Interface eventually provided our software team with bespoke vector shapes so our images could also be perfectly accurate. We weren't about to draw those ourselves.
