I'm intrigued... if anyone had to guess at a price for something like this, what would you imagine?
Not cheap, especially at the volume they can reasonably expect to sell. I'm hoping for $300 or less? If you look at the iPod mod aftermarket, you can spend $1000 easy on a fully hot rodded iPod Classic, so there is definitely some appetite for higher end price tags, but a man can dream.
hmmm. I just recently resurrected my iPod Classic and upgraded the failing drive with an SD card mod and more capacity. I use a Bluetooth dongle to connect to headphones, so that might be a benefit to this. Last thing I want is streaming and apps... I already have a phone and trying to get AWAY from those things.
Neat! Could be interested in a model that supports later generations with color screens.
The iPod features as they were are still enough for my uses, so modern add-ons aren't of interest to me. Anyone similar looking to get an iPod may want to know about Retrospekt and Elite Obsolete Electronics, both of which sell refurbished iPods.
