This reminds me of an idea I once had for an “artificial window” i.e a monitor that could show a real-time view of the outdoors for windowless offices where you could choose the location, the weather, and the season “outside”. I reckoned it would be a relatively inexpensive way to brighten up a basement office or any space without visual access to the outdoors. I never followed through on my idea though. Maybe one of your more entrepreneurial- minded readers will see merit in my suggestion and run with it. I promise not to sue.
Takes me back to the early days of COVID lockdown, when I realized that those soothing YouTube videos of Norwegian train trips provided just the right amount of distraction for me to be productive from my living-room couch. Years later, I took my wife on the fantastic Oslo-Bergen train, and it was just as satisfying.
