My 4 major moves all came with a hope to find a place/community that felt like home. The first one was close, the second and third were wildly far from feeling like home, and the fourth was astonishing: In my first day there, I clearly remember having the thought "this place just makes sense to me". I'd never had that thought before ...and it's been my home now for 28 yrs.
I also understand this feeling may not last, as family needs evolve and preferences change (and knees demand something different from their owner/operator), but it's nice to have had that feeling baked into my soul, so I will better know it - or its absence - in the future.
