In the real world, there's already a product that's been around for a while called ZyMot which actually uses a not dissimilar concept for the ICSI portion of IVF. It is used in the industry as a method of helping embryologists choose the best sperm to inseminate retrieved eggs. The sperm aren't spun like usual, but instead are put in a tray that has a microporous membrane they have to swim through. Basically a way to weed out the good sperm.
It's becoming endless how people with money continue to show idiotic ways to use that money while inequality grows larger and larger.
The whole time I was reading this, I kept wondering, "What is the female equivalent of this?" Introducing the Cervical Mucus Supergames!!
