Nearly 35 years ago, in high school, I took an after-school job making molded chocolate figures on sticks. I’d squeeze different colors of chocolate into molds and, voila, an Easter bunny on a stick.

I only worked there for a week, but it taught me 3 things:

1. I hate production work
2. Trust your instincts. The guy who ran the place gave me the creeps. Years later, there were stories about him and teenage girls
3. One week surrounded by that much chocolate was enough to turn me off it for the next 25 years

And as I’m commenting on a world record chocolate bar, I can’t help but think this project would likely have me away from chocolate for the rest of my life.
