Another absolutely bonkers entry in the Films Inexplicably Made Into A Kids' Toy Line. Second only to Robocop in its total not-for-kids intensity.
Related, I think - I rewatched The Terminator recently after who knows how many years. I was struck by how quickly the plot moved and the story ended. Basically how short the movie was. Tight and efficient, but still comfortably paced.
Cannot say enough about Danny Boyd's thoughtful deep dives into movies, and with his Rambo commentary video mentioned in the article above, he's at the height of his powers. If you're not instantly following his work on YouTube, you are a fool.
