A Miraculous Escape

A pair of hounds chase a hare across a snowy plain — will it get away? In Mario Kart terms, the dogs have the weight and max speed advantage while the hare is maxed out in acceleration, handling, and traction.

This was thrilling! It reminds me of the epic lizard chase from Planet Earth II.

That camera operator had almost as much nerve as the iguana.

After watching this as a former caretaker of beloved pet rabbits, I wish for that hare’s tiny racing heart to be nourished by several days’ utterly dull chewing of hay.

This is barbaric. Who would let their dogs do this? I own a rabbit and found this video horrifying.

The hare will be eaten eventually, whether by these hounds or some other predator. No hare in the wild has ever died of old age. Is it less barbaric to feed dogs on castrated and mechanically slaughtered cattle?
