Seems like a good rule of thumb is if you get cold called by someone claiming to be a trusted entity, ask for a ticket/case number and say that you'll just call back at the number you know to be real. If it's legit they won't care, and if it's a scam they'll try to keep you on the line.
This makes sense to us tech savvy folk, but highlights how at risk the majority of the population are — especially as AI improves!
