I am quite proud to say that all my git repos have only ever been replicated to places like GitHub as a publication mechanism: the real versions live on storage I own (and ruthlessly back up) and are managed with a command called 'git'...

Same thing is happening at Amazon, cause is unsupervised junior/midlevel engineers + coding agents making changes with a large blast radius without enough supervision from senior staff
