After Donna Tartt became famous with her first novel, "The Secret History", she pretty much disappeared for years. (Now we know that she does this after every project). One of the strongest rumors was that she was working on something about Henry Darger. It apparently was real, but never materialized. But Tartt is the first person I think about whenever Henry Darger comes up!
If you like this kind of stuff, I highly recommend the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. I saw Darger’s work in an exhibit there years ago but they have had other amazing exhibits that I still think about years later. https://www.avam.org
