I recently bought a couple of these but haven't deployed them yet. But the airtag I had stashed in my car enabled me to get my car back within 1.5 hours of noticing it had been stolen, vs probably never seeing it again. Recommended.
Hopefully subsequent forthcoming versions of the Airtag have the same form factor for compatibility.
Just curious, is this device allowed in check baggage on airplanes? Lithium batteries seem to be frowned upon if not outright banned.
So long as you're not using lithium AAs, it should be fine, but even then, typically it's not AA cell batteries that airlines have been concerned about.
I'm not in love with "discard the battery" being part of the instructions. Surely the default battery could be used for something else.
