The last redesign was in 2017. It lasted 7 years. :p
Edit: Sorry to be snarky. I want to see a thriving ecosystem of web rendering tech and Mozilla's recent mis-step in relation to advertising has me feeling things – like this redesign shouldn't be a priority for them.
