As a recent insomniac, this... explains so much! Wow
Fascinating. I started snoring in the last couple years, and my wife sometimes nudges me when it gets too loud as I'm starting to doze off. Weirdly, I frequently feel like I'm still completely awake when she does this, never feeling like I was asleep at all, but of course, have no memory of making snoring sounds because I was at the edge of consciousness. Sleeping is very weird!
