Instead of state or federal boundries, the CommonCensus map is constructed by asking people what “cultural” part of the country they think they live in (centered around cities). A pretty cool idea but they’ve just gotten started and need more data, so cast your vote. (They’re doing sports maps too…)

Interesting sports maps. Large contention of Green Bay Packers fans in Mississippi, and Chicago Cubs fans in Arizona.

Funny how there are almost no Arizona Cardinal fans. It looks like the Cowboys and Chargers have Arizona locked up.

I was trying to describe to someone where "New England" is. This map illustrates my description well, where the south-west corner of Connecticut is not focused on New England (capital: Boston). I've often thought that the US would benefit from regional political organizations. States seem useless at times. This sums it up nicely.
