I read with great interest the article in the New Yorker by Elizabeth Kolbert. In it she mentions the work of Mr. Perovich. He studies a feed back process he calls "Albedo" which is the process of increased global warming as a result of ice melt. If this is a positive feedback process that has been present for millions of years then what in the world reverses this positive feedback? Why do we have any ice at all?
Perhaps one of your readers has a answer.
