Trying out Qobuz based on this article. Thank you!
He doesn't even mention the ICE recruitment ads on Spotify, but it's bad enough even without that. I've been using Qobuz for years and like it, but I'm going to stop using Spotify altogether. Thanks for posting this.
How well does the importing work? We have a lot of playlists on Spotify that I'd like to keep. Qobuz says it can import them.
@mattG Use Soundiiz to transfer your playlists. Mine did it in 5 minutes.
I just did it to transfer from Spotify to Qobuz, was super easy.
The ICE ads were a dealbreaker for me for Spotify.
And he posts the guide on Substack... sigh.
I've been using Qobuz since Tim Bray mentioned it on his blog. I like it, but when I transferred my Liked tracks from Spotify via Soundiiz about 10% were not found in the Qobuz catalog. Qobuz integration with Sonos is flaky for me, and I haven't worked out a good way to use it in my car without using a lot of mobile data.
After reading this I decided to give Qobuz another whirl, and.... was blown away by how much better it sounds. Just shockingly better than Apple Music. I'm afraid I'll be switching.
It single handedly prompted me to start buying CDs again. I really forgot what quality audio sounded like.
I just tried out Qobuz prompted by this and was very pleasantly surprised. I think I'll switch.
