Thanks to Great Wave Today, I was able to see an original woodblock print of Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa at the Creative Museum here in Tokyo. My first time seeing an original IRL! And an amazing exhibition as well.

I love this print. I purchased a copy when I was in Kyoto last October. I enjoy several of his other similar prints as well as other Japanese artists block prints. I have a tokonoma space in my home and I cycle this and other prints out during the year.
