Apollo is slowly fading from living memory. I can remember watching it on TV and being so cross when anything else caused it not to be shown: it was inconceivable to my 7-year-old mind that anything could be more important to show than that. It still is inconceivable to me now.

In twenty or thirty years almost nobody alive will have seen them. In two hundred years historians will recognise it as the high point of human civilisation, I am sure.

Apparently the real Jim Lovell did an audio commentary for the DVD version of Apollo 13. ChatGPT says:

The 2‑Disc Anniversary or Collector’s Edition of Apollo 13 includes a special feature: an audio commentary track featuring both Jim and Marilyn Lovell alongside the director Ron Howard. While detailed transcripts of what they say aren't readily available online, viewers consistently praise Jim and Marilyn’s track for being informative, engaging, and rich in historical context.

I need to get my hands on that.
