I read this on RSS, so I don’t see that the link points to the Onion until I click on it. Quite telling that I was sure this was a real news headline…
I also read on RSS, and don't want to see unlabeled fiction come through on your feed.
Honestly, I read it on his site, and the headlines are also unlabeled. But I can still figure out satire before looking at the source. I actually like the game of it...
The craziest thing is the diminishing doubt about whether stuff like this is actually true. So many things that should belong to The Onion don't.
This was in the paper edition a few months back (yes, i get the Onion on paper. Trying to get my kid some humor she can touch, like I had with National Lampoon and Mad). I showed this article to my buddy Jaime who is a Marine. He didn't find it as funny as the rest of our friends.
