Well, we believe that hitting the ground is what one does when traveling to a new place so this piece is something of a Duh. I mean, of course what's described in the linked piece should be SOP. Should say we do know people who love to stay in their bubbles when traveling.
Meanwhile, this is sort of how Robert Plant got on my personal s*** list: Both of us doing the same thing, to wit, hitting the streets except Plant f***ed up the timing for bumping into each other by being a week early. I should note he doesn't know us and was touring so had to leave town and yes, I'm being a pinch megalomaniacal or otherwise pathological. Still, I remain p***ed at him.
