Brings to mind a great observation from George W.S. Trow. A (close) paraphrasing: "There are a lot of stories like this: years in the making, infinite detail, you have no say as to the outcome, it will happen or it won't. Do yourself a favor and ignore these stories." Paying attention costs attention — so you need to be intentional about it.
