From Ryan Broderick’s comments on the state of text based social media, a new life goal for me: “One day you’ll be the last person writing words on the web and wonder where everyone went.”

I am here till the bitter end! It’s weird being around at the start of the weird techno Utopianism of the late 90 early 2000s, and then seeing it all kind of disappear or turn to shit. In hindsight having so much writing online seems a bit dumb, but I like the record all the same. I keep thinking we are on the cusp of some blogging revival. These newsletters feel adjacent to that, at least.
