Here’s what happens to your skin & immune system when you get a tattoo. “Tens of thousands of cells are violently killed right away, ripped into pieces or damaged beyond repair.”

I'm about a year into my tattoo journey (3 tats!) and asked my last artist how the process works- i was curious how they can do fine shading, and she said to look on youtube. this video doesn't explain that specifically, more how the process works physiologically, and how the immune system reacts to the ink, a foreign substance. Super interesting. Just curious how you stumbled on it, and why you are posting it now (it's 9 months old).
