Dang! Thanks for the HU.
A reminder that these books are probably already available for free at your local public library.
It's a great call-out, but at my super awesome local public library, not so much the case.
Most of the hoopla/ebook are almost always checked out and same for the print copies, especially as the new seasons get released. Long hold lists, etc.
Libraries are absolutely awesome. But $4.99? That's less than the price of an inner tube should I get a flat on the way to the library to pick up my holds.
Thanks Jason. Easy decision. BTW, remember years ago (8-9?) when you pointed out The Wire DVD box set was on sale for like 90% off on AMZN? Well, we got rid of satellite at our weekend place with only cellular internet 4-5 months ago so have finally been watching it. Just started S4 and it is outstanding. Watching shows and movies on DVD has been an odd nostalgic event.
Sadly, not in the UK, where this collection persists at £25.99. :-(
Alas, the price for the Kindle edition has gone up to $43.99. Maybe the earlier $4.99 was a typo.
I was able to get the set for $4.99 on Apple Books. Just started reading on a flight today, and—from the beginning—just excellent. I know I’m the last to the party but thanks for bearing this drum regularly for many years.
