James Earl Jones has died at the age of 93. I loved him in Dr. Strangelove, The Hunt for Red October, and of course all the Star Warses.

James Earl Jones graduated from the same high school as I did! A small rural school in lower Michigan. It always added a little bit of pizzazz to seeing him; and now it adds a little extra sorrow.
I'm shocked to see this is well below the fold on cnn.com. At one point around 2009 they added a feature where his iconic "This is CNN" played when you opened their iOS app. It was a horrible feature that betrayed your inattention in meetings but that little clip feels like one of their most valuable brand assets.
