That quote instantly stood out to me as well. As a viewer it can be hard to say "bye" to these people you've built a parasocial relationship with. Like John said though, everything has an end.

I've always dug this line, and have thought back to it during especially funky times of change. Probably not as quotable as "You don't have to go home ..." but I still think of it often enough to mention it here. (FYI: Semisonic's Closing Time)
