How to Clean Mold From Bath Toys. In case anyone is in a similar boat, I tried the “put toys in the dishwasher” suggestion, but it didn’t work as well as I’d hoped (but it was pretty good), so I tried the “soak toys for hours in a tub with vinegar and water” suggestion. Also not an obvious success, but maybe I didn’t have enough vinegar. Or maybe I just let the toys get too moldy.

We clean ours by filling them with hot water, shaking hard & then squirting into the sink. So much satisfying crud comes out!

act II, in which we remember that using brackets to write the "A" in "A TAG" in a text box (thereby making it an html element) is usually not a great idea.

@Edith, dilute bleach solution will eradicate mold. Rinse well.

I was trying to avoid bleach, but it seems I can avoid it no longer. I will try this & I imagine I will regret dragging my feet. Thank you!

After one too many squirts in the face with water contaminated with mystery ick, I banned any bath toy that has a hole in it or an impossible-to-reach hollow.

Wise. It's surprising how many toys have tiny holes.
